Rewild Tennessee's Mission

I’ve always loved the feeling I get when I’m in nature — the quiet, the life, the energy. That feeling seems to vanish in most neighborhoods, replaced by endless lawns and the same ten plants over and over. Many of them are invasive and harmful to our local environment. I realized I could turn my passion for plants into something that makes a real difference: helping people replace turfgrass and invasives with native species that actually support life.

My plant journey has been… well, colorful. I’ve worked at a plantation, a nursery, and in interior plant maintenance and greenhouses. Most of my adult life I’ve also served tables, and I’ve learned one very important thing: I genuinely enjoy the company of plants more than the general public 😆. I even dropped out of college the first time because I realized I didn’t want the corporate track — and after five years, I went back for a Horticulture degree and never looked back. Since then, I’ve been obsessed with learning everything I can about plants, ecosystems, and how to make landscapes work with nature instead of against it.

About Me / Why I Do This
What I Do

I work with homeowners (and dream of helping businesses, schools, and HOAs) to transform their yards into thriving native habitats. My services include on-site consulting and coaching, design, installation, and education — basically, helping you do it yourself, with a little expert guidance when you need it.

I help you:

  • Restore life to your yard with native plants that feed pollinators, birds, and countless insects forming the foundation of the food web.

  • Reduce maintenance and eliminate the need for synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.

  • Make your space beautiful, purposeful, and ecologically meaningful.

And just to be clear: I don’t mow lawns, plant invasive species, or rely on fertilizers or pesticides. That’s not just a preference — it’s part of my philosophy. We work with nature, not against it.

Why It Matters

We need to start working with nature instead of against it. By rewilding yards, we help vulnerable species return, reduce CO₂ emissions, clean our air and water, and create spaces that are alive and connected.

My goal is simple: I want people to notice what they’ve been missing. When your yard becomes a hub for wildlife, you feel it — and it’s contagious. One yard transforms the neighborhood. One person inspires their friends. That ripple effect is what makes this work so meaningful.

Credibility & Community

I hold a Horticulture degree, am pursuing Master Gardener and Native Plant certifications, and have years of hands-on growing and landscape experience. Beyond that, I’m active in my community: volunteering with our native plant rescue squad, the Wild Ones chapter, and participating in invasive plant removal whenever possible.

In short — I’m constantly learning, experimenting, and sharing what works to help people make a real difference in their yards.

If you’re ready to rewild your yard, support wildlife, and make your outdoor space truly alive, I’m here to help. Whether it’s a small corner or a whole property, together we can transform it into a living, breathing ecosystem — no green thumb required.

Rewild Tennessee transformed my yard with native plants that thrive naturally—so much healthier and beautiful.
